In the context of SupporterBase, the ‘transfer’ of data relates to the fact that some of the third-party services required to power the application (ie Heroku for database hosting), are based outside the EU and will, at times, process data using servers based outside the EU as part of the service they provide.
SupporterBase will not transfer or authorise the transfer of personal data of supporters to countries outside the EU and/or the European Economic Area (EEA) unless it has taken such measures as are necessary to ensure the transfer is in compliance with Applicable Data Protection Law. Such measures may include (without limitation) transferring the Data to a recipient in the United States that has certified its compliance with the EU-US Privacy Shield, or to a recipient that has executed standard contractual clauses adopted or approved by the European Commission.
We will never transfer your data for third-party marketing, political targeting, or for any purpose other than the functioning of the application.
You can find more information on sub-processors who may be the recipients of data here.
